What is a podcast?
In common use - podcasts are programs that are recorded and stored on a server, that are automatically downloaded by any number of podcasting software. It's main advantage is convenience. For example, our show once setup in your podcasting software will automatically update and download the latest programs. You never have to lift a finger! The new program just "appears" on your computer! Many places offer podcasts of various interests. Podcasting IS NOT specifically an IPOD feature. In fact podcasting existed before IPODS! You don't even need an mp3 player to enjoy podcasts, the files can be stored and listened to on your computer at your convenience. For more information on podcasts check out Wiki: Podcasts

Software required: Many applications exist to receive podcasts. Listed are just a couple of the many programs to choose from most, if not all are available for free.

Subscribing to a feed: Once you have your podcasting software installed, simply copy/paste your desired podcast link you've found into the program and you're rockin'! These links are sometimes called RSS feeds.
