Maintenance of Computer: - Cleaning and Checkup

Removal of Spyware & Adware software – often responsible for hindering PC performance and burdening users with annoying popups. Also may be sending out undesirable data from a users machine.
Removal of old temporary files and cookies – removes unnecessary junk from the PC that may be just taking up space, and hindering performance. Undesirable cookies from websites visited may be lurking around on PC that should be cleared from time to time.
Quick Scan Disk of Hard Drive - checking directory structure integrity: and hard disk “health”
Defragmentation of Hard Drive – organizing of files on the PC in a manner which allows for faster access – and reading of files improving system performance.

Computer Repair:

Hardware – Issues which require diagnosis and repair or replacement of physical elements of a PC. Such items include: CPU (central processing unit), Motherboard, RAM (memory), CD ROMs/Burners/DVDs, Floppy/Hard Disks, Power Supplies, Network Interface cards, Modems, Sound devices, Printers and other external devices.

Software/Firmware – Issues which require diagnosis and repair or reinstallation of software/firmware elements of a PC. Firmware, commonly known as “Drivers” – are programs which allow a computer to operate hardware devices. Firmware is required to operate properly for a physical device to function correctly. NOTE : For software to be installed or repaired: the customer must have copy of the program. The specialist will not supply “Bootleg” programs; However legit copies may be purchased from the specialist.

When experiencing a software or firmware issue, please have a detailed description of the problem: include the application's name, if an error appears – the exact error message or if unavailable a detailed description of the problem, when the problem first occurred and any system changes (such as installation of new software, games, anti-virus etc) that may have occurred just prior to the issue being reported.

Virus Removal: New viruses infect computers sometimes before makers of anti-virus software can protect machines. The removal of the preexisting virus on your machine sometimes requires more expert help for removal.

Installation of Software: Any software installation in which the customer already has the software desired to be installed: unless being purchased through the specialist. Purchasing of software is subject to availability. Not all software is compatible with the hardware a customer may have in a computer. There are instances where an application will not function on a “compatible PC” due to the hardware installed on the PC. This is rare but does occur.

Design & Purchase Custom PC's: A PC will be built to fit the customers needs, and will accommodate any specific requests including hardware devices, or software to be installed.

Upgrading of PC: Any customer desiring upgrading of a PC, or wishing to add functionality to the PC will first need a consultation: to determine what will best serve the PC, and will then advise of the options and costs of those options and their prospective improvement on the computer. Once a decision has been made the requested work can be performed.

Computer Education: Personal one on one computer training with customers requesting such services. Training will be done in the customer's home covering needs from “basic computer operations” to using a specific application. It is highly recommended a list be made of everything the customer wishes to learn – so that all aspects may be covered.

Networking: Connecting multiple computers together: usually to share the Internet or files among other computers. This also has a secondary advantage of adding protection to a computer from the Internet – by way of hardware firewall.
